After three years of caring for ailing mother, Vaughn Fritzgerald Moore returned to New York but found himself like so many others, skillful yet, jobless nonetheless, during this country's worst recession since the Great Depression. Drawing inspiration from a background in art and a deep passion for creative expression, Vaughn F. Moore, unlike many of his peers in the business, is an unusual cake artisan in that he's completely self-taught and has mastered many techniques of this art in only a few years.  
A ninth-generation descendent of the Cajun-Creole people and culture of southern Louisiana, he is no stranger to the savory art of creole culinary fusion; the skillful blending of multi-ethnic spices, herbs, seasonings, meats and vegetables used to create tasty dishes such as seafood or okra gumbos, etouffes and jambalayas.  It's from such rich heritage and cultivation that he draws his knack and inspiration for whipping up deliciously moist cakes, scrumptious pies and pastries, creamy custards desserts, and buttery praline confections.
